STEM Committee

COMMITTEE MISSION

The mission of the Northern Star Council STEM Committee is to introduce youth to the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math through events, awards, and activities by providing meaningful programs and promoting STEM opportunities throughout the year.

WHAT DOES THE STEM COMMITTEE SUPPORT?

• Promotes and offers training for administering the Nova and Supernova Awards program.  
• Facilitates the ordering and fulfillment of Nova Awards and Supernova Awards for units.  
• Provides opportunities for Scouts to partake in STEM programming through program partnerships (most visibly as Merit Badge Day programs).  
• Represents Northern Star Scouting within the wider STEM community in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
