Priority Registration for Scouts BSA Camp 2024

​Longtime attendees of our Scouts BSA summer camps, Many Point Scout Camp and Tomahawk Scout Camp, may know that our camps have a system in place to allow troops to protect their campsites in a process we call “priority registration”.

Priority registration is a timeframe in which units can only re-book the same site they have for this upcoming summer for the same week of the following year. Our typical timeframe for priority registration was starting January 1 and ending on May 1. For example, starting on January 1 of 2022, units could book the same campsite they already have booked for 2022 for the same week in 2023. Then after May 1 of 2022, anyone could book any open site during any week for 2023.

Our camps have been using this system for many years, and we expect most units who camp with us have simply memorized that they can re-book their campsite in January. However, this is no longer the case.

This coming year, we are moving the priority registration open date to March 1. This means that troops will not be able to book for 2024 until March 1 of 2023. Starting on March 1 of 2023, units will be able to book the same campsite they already have booked for 2023 for the same week in 2024. They will have their site protected in this manner until the usual deadline of May 1. Starting May 2 of 2023, anyone can book any open site for 2024.
