​Do You Know a Community Hero?

Nominate your community hero for a Spurgeon Award!  The Spurgeon Award recognizes the volunteer contributions to youth in the community. Publicly recognize your local heroes who have helped others with their generous contribution of time, energy, and talent by nominating them for the Spurgeon Award. 

To nominate your hero, please submit a nomination form online or by mail to Northern Star Base Camp, 6202 Bloomington Road, Fort Snelling, MN 55111. You can find more details and a nomination form on the Northern Star website at http://www.northernstar.org/news/enavigator/about-the-community-builder-celebration. 

Remember: Nominations are due by Friday, May 26, 2023. 

The award will be presented at the annual Community Builder Celebration this fall.  The Community Builder Celebration is the primary fundraiser benefiting the Exploring program.  Exploring offers thousands of young men and women in the community the opportunity to explore careers through hands-on educational and mentoring opportunities provided by local corporations and community organizations.  Watch for more details on this great event to follow in the coming weeks!
