Your Job Can Get Your Unit to Friends of Scouting Goal!

When our world seems to be changing hour by hour, it can be tempting to think that you have to change everything up, too. There are still ways you can support Scouting while social distancing at home. One is through workplace giving and the other is volunteer grants -Yes, get money for giving your time!

Most employers have workplace giving programs to maximize your gift to Scouting.  Employers often will match your donation to Scouting and some companies will automatically give and match a portion of your paycheck to Scouting on your behalf! All you need to do is designate your gift and give your employer permission to release your name to us, we will handle the rest!

Volunteer hours? But I'm stuck at home.

While social distancing may seem like volunteering is another thing on pause, you're most likely already doing it. You are giving your time to Scouting by doing any of the following

  • Virtually teaching skills associated to a Scout advancement.
  • Getting outside to go on a nature hike or camp in the backyard.
  • Leading a Virtual Merit Badge session.
  • Helping your child with a Scouting-related activity at home.

How can you start?

RIGHT NOW your company is giving you the opportunity to give directly to a targeted charity. You just designate your gift directly to Northern Star Council, BSA, (EIN 20-3000282). Ask your human resources department about payroll deduction or matching gifts today!
