The Council Recognition Event is a yearly event to honor the wonderful vol­unteers whose efforts make Scouting happen. The premier of our 2020 virtual program was on Saturday March 20th, and the program is now available to watch anytime on our event site (https://northernstar.brand.live/c/2021-virtual-council-recognition-event).  Each of our honorees have made great contributions in support of Scouting and our community, and we hope that you will be able to view the event and join in celebrating their achievement and efforts.  

In addition to the virtual program, the Council Recognition Event Committee has also published extended cut interviews for each of Norther Star Scouting’s 2021 class of recipients.  Here is a list of our 2021 recipient class:

In addition to the Silver Beaver Award, the District Award of Merit class of 2021 was also recognized as a part of our virtual event.  The District Award of Merit is the highest level of recognition that a volunteer can receive for service to a local Scouting district.  In 2021, the nomination base for the District Award of Merit was expanded to include volunteers serving on council committees that inherited duties formerly facilitated by districts.  Congratulations to our 2021 recipient class:
