High Adventure 2022 Planning

2022 seems like a long way away, but if your unit is planning to attend a High Adventure Base it's not that far away! Starting to plan now will ensure you get the dates you need, and allow plenty of time to plan, fundraise and physically train for your trip. Check out details for each of the High Adventure Bases below!

Philmont Scout Ranch

Philmont's registration process is the busiest, and hardest, so making sure you get into the lottery on time will ensure your greatest chance of getting a trek in 2022. The lottery for 12-day, 9-day and 7-day treks, will open October 27. For more information visit www.philmontscoutranch.org .

2021 Council Contingent

Any units that do not receive a Trek can join the waiting list or consider joining the Council Contingent. A contingent is a large group made up of youth and adults from multiple troops and crews throughout the council. A contingent also prepares for the extensive trip together and travels as a group to New Mexico! The 2021 Council Contingent is scheduled for June 27 - July 19, 2021. If you're interested in joining the 2021 contingent, please email [email protected]

Sea Base

Traditionally, Sea Base holds a lottery each year from January 15-February 15 for the following year. The Florida Sea Base is a National High Adventure Base and handles its own registration process separate from our council camps. If you want to plan a trip to Sea Base, you need to start now, registration is opening soon for 2022. More information about Sea Base Programs and registration procedures can be found at www.bsaseabase.org

Northern Tier

The lottery for 2022 Northern Tier reservations is open. Units who do not get into the lottery can still sign up for available treks after the lottery closes. You can find more information about summer and winter treks at www.ntier.org .

The Summit

If you would like to attend The Summit for high adventure in 2021 or 2022 visit their website for more information about each of the different summit adventures at www.summitbsa.org .
