Don't miss JOTA-JOTI 2024

Jamboree on the Air is the world's largest digital and radio Scout event, promoting friendship and global citizenship.

JOTA/JOTI will run at the North Star Museum of Boy Scouting & Girl Scouting 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19. JOTA is a radio event. Using ham radios around the world, nation, and in our community, participants can connect to their fellow Scouts. There is no charge or age limit for the event. Groups that have over 5 participants are encouraged to call and pre-register so the Museum can plan accordingly.

In addition to JOTA/JOTI, the Museum will offer a session of Radio Merit Badge on Saturday, October 19. Like all Merit Badge offerings, preregistration is required. The cost is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers. Scouts registering for the merit badge should bring a bag lunch and a merit badge blue card signed by their Scoutmaster, which indicates that they are cleared to take the class. The Radio Merit Badge will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Once registration opens, you will be able to register through the Museum’s website at www.NSSM.org. Once on the website, go to Programs and Events, then Jamboree on the Air, and sign up for a session. See you “on the air” at radio station KØBSA on October 19!
