First Ever Cub Leader University and Day Camp a Success!

Our first ever Spring Cub Leader University and Day Camp was held on Saturday, April 12, and was a great success. Over 75 leaders and parents attended training sessions while 45 youth attended Day Camp, where they  played games, shot archery and participated in rock climbing. It was a great day, and very exciting to have so many Cub Scout leaders and parents in attendance.

It goes without saying that creating course curriculum and presenting so many training options would not be possible without dedicated support from our team of volunteer instructors. Thank you, instructors, for sharing your subject matter expertise and all you did to make this new event a success for everyone!

Special thanks to Tim Sibley, Dean of the College of Cub Scouting, and our Spring event team members - Jessica Harrell, Mary Lillemo, Rich Greiner, Vic Thiemann, Rachel Thiemann and Alex Jarboe. Our next University of Scouting event will take place on Saturday, October 25.

Make sure to check out our University of Scouting Extension Classes that take place throughout the year!

We will again be providing a selection of classes aimed at busy Scout leaders, who prefer bite-sized learning from the convenience o their own home. Through the University of Scouting Extension we are brining you a series of 1-hour evening Zoom classes, allowing you to fit training opportunities into your busy schedule. There is no cost for these sessions, and you can register for as many as you’d like.

Offerings will be available in May and early June. Information can be found at: https://scoutingevent.com/250-OnlineSessions202425
