Leadership Academy

The Youth Academy will offer 6 full continuous hours of Youth Leadership Training and provide Scouts with an introduction to becoming a Leader in their home Troop or Crew. In this program, Scouts will be placed in a Patrol for the day to learn the Patrol Method. During the course of the day, focus will be given to the Scout Oath & Law and what it really means. Other focus areas will include: Leading Yourself, Decision Making, Team Building, Goals & Planning and Delivering Leadership skills to your Troop.

This is intended to supplement the skills needed to lead a Troop or Crew. It is not Grey Wolf training and should be considered for anyone preparing for Grey Wolf, or those who have not had the availability to take Grey Wolf. Also all those in the rank of First Class or Scout Leaders who belong to a large Troop or Crew. Note: Age requirements range from 11-17 or 13-16 depending on class. (see Class Catalog for details)
