North Star Museum of Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting Merit Badge Workshops

Experience the history of local Scouting and pick-up a Merit Badge or Two!

The North Star Museum of Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting was founded to help preserve the history of local Scouting in the Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa.  Located in North Saint Paul, the museum has curated more than 150,000 artifacts relating to the Scouting program.  In addition to their main collection, the museum offers dozens of Scouts BSA Merit Badge workshops every year.  The museum recruits registered Merit Badge Counselors to lead these workshop opportunities from Citizenship in Society to Law Merit Badges.  Please note, counselors determine the prerequisites the youth must complete prior to the workshop, and they are the ultimate authority in determining whether or not the youth has met the badge's requirements.

  • All classes are $12 for museum members and $15 for non-members.
  • All classes will be held at the museum (2640 E. Seventh Avenue, North Saint Paul, MN 55109) unless otherwise noted.

Workshop registrations may be cancelled up to 7 days before your workshop date by emailing [email protected] or calling 651-338-7615.
