Northwest Coin Club - Coin Collecting Merit Badge October Offering

The Northwest Coin Club will be offering an opportunity to earn the Coin Collecting Merit Badge in a single day on Saturday March 18, 2023. The event will be held at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Park. Check-in begins at 8:30AM, with the course to run from 9AM until 1:30-2PM in the afternoon. Some prerequisites are required and registration is limited, so please check out the link to the website for more information and instructions on how to sign-up. - If you intend to complete the Merit Badge in one day, you'll need to complete requirements 6-9 - see the link below to the American Numismatic Association for reference.
- There are some coins that Scouts will need to collect in order to complete the Merit Badge course. The Northwest Money Show starts on Friday and runs through Sunday. Scouts will have an opportunity during the Merit Badge Course to visit the show (if-needed, Scouts should plan on bringing money if they need coins to complete their requirements). All Scouts will leave with a "current" Kennedy Half dollar, so keep that in mind while working on the Merit Badge requirements.
