Are you looking for conservation service hours to help your Scouts advance, or for the opportunity to give back to our shared community?  If so, Great River Greening has some upcoming programs this Fall that may be of interest to your unit and families.  Great River Greening is a local organization that focuses on collaborative community-based conservation work.  The organization focuses on partnerships and education, making them a great resource for Scouting units.  Below is some information on some of theit upcoming offerings: 

Outdoor Classroom

Join Great River Greening in planting shrubs and trees in a restoration project at Crestview Elementary School in partnership with South Washington Watershed District. Restoration work will benefit the children of Crestview Elementary School to restore the oak savanna, which doubles as an outdoor classroom.

Celebrate national public lands day

National Public Lands is the country's largest, single-day volunteer event for public lands, and Great River Greening is proud to partner with Dakota County in promoting stewardship at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Join Great River Greening to celebrate by planting native prairie grasses and wildflowers furthering restoration efforts throughout this beautiful park.
