Welcome Northern Star Scouting's New Venturing Officers Association President

​We would like to welcome Thomas Hoffman as the new Northern Star Scouting VOA President. Thomas has earned his Eagle Scout and Pathfinder ranks, and hopes to earn his Summit award someday. He started his Scouting journey as a Tiger Scout and moved through Cubs Scouts into Scouts BSA, and is now active in Venturing. Thomas will be attending the University of Minnesota as a pre-med student starting in the fall of 2023.

He is active in his OA lodge, where he is a brotherhood member. He is currently serving as a Chapter Chief and a Constellation Vice Chief, and is the 2023-2024 Lodge Vice Chief for the Totanhan Nakaha Lodge.

Thomas will work on advertising Venturing to existing scouts, as well as making the program more accessible to Northern Star Council members. He also aims to help support STEM programs within the scouting movement.
