Order of the Arrow: Totanhan Nakaha Lodge
The OA Lodge of Northern Star Council
You may have noticed that our traditional home online is no longer accessible. To enhance our site security and functionality, we are working on migrating our online presence to a new platform. In the meantime, the Totanhan Nakaha Lodge will use this page on the Northern Star Scouting website as the source for Order of the Arrow news, event information, and important documents. Thank you for your understanding.
FALL INDUCTION CONCLAVES
The Fall Order of the Arrow induction season is rapidly approaching, and the Totanhan Nakaha Lodge has been hard at work developing a safe program plan for each of our Fall Conclave events. A letter detailing the program plan and the conclave schedule will be released in August to members and candidates.
- HOW WILL FALL INDUCTION CONCLAVES BE FACILITATED?
The plan is for Fall Induction Conclaves to be organized in a cohort model, where participants are separated into small groups that participate in the program together throughout the course of the event.
- WHERE CAN I FIND THE REGISTRATION PAGE FOR THE FALL INDUCTION CONCLAVES?
Event registration for the Fall Induction Conclaves is located here. Due to the present conditions, candidates elected after January 1, 2019 will have 24 months from the date of their election to complete their Ordeal Induction (this is a nationally authorized extension).
- WHERE CAN I FIND MORE INFORMATION ON THE PLANNED PROCEDURES THAT WILL BE IN PLACE AT THE FALL INDUCTION CONCLAVES?
The document produced by the lodge’s Conclave COVID-19 Task Force is located as an attachment on the event registration site, as well as on this page. Conclave Covid 19 Preparedness Plan
VIGIL INDUCTION CONCLAVE TO OCCUR IN 2021
In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, it was necessary for the lodge to postpone the 2020 Vigil Reunion and Induction Conclave. Vigil members, and the 2020 Vigil Induction Class will have the opportunity to participate in a rescheduled event at Phillippo Scout Reservation May 22-23, 2021.
August Lodge executive committee
The first Lodge Executive Committee season of the 2020-2021 program season will take place on August 27th at 7PM. This meeting will be held virtually, and invitations (along with meeting access links) will be sent to participants shortly.
DIGITAL FOUNDER’S AWARD NOMINATION
Each year, the lodge strives to recognize individuals that have provided outstanding service to the lodge with the Founder’s Award. Selections are made with great care, and only after thorough consideration of the nominated candidates. A digital nomination form has been designed to make this process clearer and easier. Any registered member of the Northern Star Scouting can nominate a member of the lodge, provided that the nominee is currently registered in some capacity with Northern Star Scouting, and is an active (current dues paid) member of the lodge. Access our digital nomination form here. All nominations are due by October 23, 2020.

Check the National site here: https://oa-bsa.org/coronavirus for specific information on changes to election eligibility, as well as extended timelines between election and induction.
Section c-1a conclave
The Section C-1A Conclave will be held virtually this Fall. Although we would have wished to have been in-person for our gathering at Northern Star Scouting's Base Camp, it is important for the safety of all program participants and for the quality of the program we offer that the event be held virtually. There is a lot in store for all Arrowmen, and we hope that you will be able to join us this October!
Sign-up to attend the virtual Section Conclave sessions on Eventbrite here. A select few sessions will also be streamed on social media platforms. The virtual event will be free to attend for all Arrowmen, but an optional patch is available for $5 through this online registration. For more information about the Section C-1A Conclave, please visit: https://sectionc1a.com/events/section-conclave/.
NOP Bortherhood Ceremony Weekend
On Saturday October 3rd, Chapter O will host a Brotherhood Ceremony at Red Wood Park in Apple Valley for the N, O, and P chapters (or NOP Constellation). This ceremony event is for Ordeal members that have served as an Arrowmen for a minimum of 6 months. Traditionally, the Brotherhood ceremony is offered as a feature of the Fall Induction Conclave, but were omitted to adhere to the Totanhan Nakaha Lodge's COVID-19 guidelines. In order to ensure that Arrowmen have an opportunity to further their engagement in the lodge, Chapter O will offer this Saturday-only event this year.
In order to ensure that enough staff and supplies are available for the event, each participant will need to register in advance—registration is located here: https://scoutingevent.com/250-nopbrotherhood. Registration will close Wednesday September 30th. More information regarding perquisites, event, costs, and the event schedule can be found on the registration page.
