Summer Camp PAYS

Employee Giving

Often called “Dollars for Doers”, your time spent at summer camp this past summer can help Scouting a second time.  Most employers have workplace giving programs that can match your volunteer hours with a monetary gift to Scouting.

Can those Dollars be used for Friends of Scouting??

YES! All you need to do is give your employer permission to release your name to us when you designate your gift, we will handle the rest!  These dollars help ensure every youth have the opportunity to be a Scout.

Hold my mask, we didn’t go to a Scout camp this summer?

Even if you don’t go to camp this summer, instead get together for hikes, merit badges, driving the kids to other activities or host something virtually, you DID take the time to work with the kids in your unit. That all counts as “Dollars for Doers”!

Is it really that easy??

Of course! And it’s completely free!  Double your volunteer investment with a click of a button! And some companies have increased their matches to ensure non-profit maintain services during the impact COVID-19 has had on the economy.

How can you start?

RIGHT NOW your company is giving you the opportunity to give directly to a targeted charity. You just designate your matched volunteer hours gift directly to Scouting, specifically Northern Star Council, BSA (EIN 20-3000282). Ask your human resources department about matching gifts today!
