$77K Eagle Scout Project Unveiled in Olivia

Dominique Claseman, a Life Scout living in Olivia, Minnesota, broke ground on April 27 for an amazing Eagle Scout Project — a new Veterans Memorial at Olivia’s Kubesh Park . Dominque sold paving stones to Veteran families in his county to fund the project, raising an impressive $77,000 in the process. These pavers line the walkway of the memorial which features 3 flag poles, a memorial stone for all the military branches, a battle cross, as well as benches for people who visit the memorial.

With help from a family member who was an architecht, Dominique drafted the design for the memorial and oversaw the construction.

The memorial was officially unveiled on Memorial Day with an in-person dedication.
