Congratulations to Vincent for receiving the 2026 Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year

Northern Star is proud to announce that the 2026 Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams Eagle Project of the year from Northern Star Scouting has been awarded to Vincent G. of Troop 3518, chartered to Anoka Mason Lodge #30.

The National Eagle Scout Association has established the Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams National Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award to recognize valuable service of an exceptional nature by a Scout to a religious institution, a school, community, or other entity. Each local council chooses a council-level winner for their Eagle Scout service project, which is part of the requirements for earning the Eagle Scout Award.

Vincent’s project was fundraising and building an environmental learning center for DaVinci Academy in Blaine, MN. The project included a butterfly greenhouse, a dock in the pond, animal tracking station with trail camera, bird feeder line and more. Vincent held a clothing drive, silent auction and a garage sale to pay for the materials, and was able to get the entire dock system donated by V-Dock in Forest Lake.

His goal was to give back to his former school so that younger students would have unique opportunities to observe and study wildlife during for school programming.
