WINTER CAMPING AND INTER-UNIT COMPETITION
What would you Do at the Klondike Derby?
Join your fellow Scouts BSA Troops, Crews, and Ships for a Saturday of competition, Scout Skills, and Fellowship during one of Northern Star’s Klondike Derbies! Klondike Derby is a great way to get Scouts outside and participating in program during the winter months.
A day of winter fun including scout skills, teamwork, service… and maybe a little slime.
Put together your team- great teams include Scouts of all ages and abilities.
All-Star Scouting will be an option again this season. Contact us for details.
Want to Volunteer? The team is seeking Scouts (1st class or higher) to help plan and execute the event. Contact Mrs. Malewitz: [email protected] (youth please cc another adult when contacting our team.)

Arrowhead District Beargrease
Date: February 22, 2025
Location: Cloquet Forestry Center, Cloquet, MN
Scouts have been reenacting the historic John Beargrease Race across Northern Minnesota for many years! Instead of delivering the mail, racers will compete and demonstrate their proficiency in Scouting Skills –with an emphasis of having fun! Scouts form teams and then select a team name to be entered in the Derby.
Join your fellow Troops and Crews from across Northern Star Scouting for a day of competition, Scout skills, and fellowship during our Beargrease Derby. The Beargrease Derby is an excellent opportunity for your unit to demonstrate proficiency in Scout skills and teamwork.
The Beargrease Derby is open to all Scouts BSA Troops or Venture Crews regardless of District affiliation.
