NYLT Units Get Reduced Wood Badge Fees!
Northern Star Council's next Wood Badge course will take place January 29-31 and February 27-28, 2027, at Kiwanis Scout Camp.
Wood Badge is the ultimate Scouting Leadership training for adults and can pay huge dividends for leaders in the operation of their Scouting unit, as well as in their professional and personal lives.
By taking Wood Badge, Scouters will acquire valuable tools such as listening, communicating, conflict management, project planning, and leading change. Participants will better learn to understand and appreciate diversity and differences in our society. They will learn skills that will make them a better Scout leader. Units with trained leaders are able to deliver an improved program and a more meaningful experience for the youth that Scouting serves.
Unit operations hit an even higher level of efficiency when youth leaders have attended Grey Wolf National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT), and adult leaders are Wood Badge trained. For that reason, we are offering a special discount to all leaders from units that had youth attend and complete NYLT in 2025 or 2026. The code to receive this discount is: Grey Wolf
To attend a Wood Badge course, individuals must:
- Be a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America
- Complete the basic training courses for their Scouting position
