PSEO Credits for Public Safety Explorers

High school Explorers can turn the experiences they already earn into free college credit through an exciting internship opportunity offered by Hennepin Technical College. By participating in approved Explorer activities, students may earn one college credit for every 40 hours of volunteer service, usable for both high school and college elective credit through PSEO.

This flexible program is available anywhere, during any semester, and allows students to formally quantify their training, leadership, and service experience. Online coursework is available in Law Enforcement and Fire, making it easier than ever to balance school, activities, and future goals.

The Emergency Services and Public Safety Internship course provides real-world, hands-on learning while helping students get a head start on college and career pathways in public safety.Explorers are encouraged to learn more and take advantage of this valuable opportunity to invest in their future—today.
