Trailblazers: Adventure, Friendship, and Growth for Elementary-Aged Youth

Northern Star Scouting has launched Trailblazers, a new adventure-based program designed to help elementary-aged youth build confidence, leadership skills, resilience, and lasting friendships through outdoor exploration and hands-on learning.

Powered by Scouting America’s proven Cub Scout curriculum, Trailblazers combines games, team challenges, outdoor activities, and guided skill-building in a safe and inclusive environment led by trained staff. The program gives families an easy and flexible way to introduce children to the benefits of Scouting through active participation and adventure.

Each Trailblazers expedition consists of twelve 90-minute sessions, with all materials provided. Along the way, participants develop teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, and outdoor skills while learning to support and encourage one another. The experience culminates in an end-of-season camp adventure where youth can put their new skills into practice.

Designed to fit busy family schedules, Trailblazers operates year-round in 12-week or 6-week sessions, providing meaningful experiences without the commitment of a full-year program. Through fun, friendship, and adventure, Trailblazers helps young people discover their potential and build skills that will serve them both in and out of the classroom.
