Winter Merit Badge Weekends

As Scouts, there's always something to do, and our Camping Department is working hard to ensure there are active, fun, and engaging opportunities available throughout the year at our camps.

We know there are many places you can choose to camp, but camping at a Northern Star camp offers something unique. In addition to great facilities and outdoor experiences, you'll find Scouting-focused activities, resources, and support that help make every outing more meaningful. From merit badge opportunities to canoes to staffed ranges and climbing towers, we're committed to helping units get the most out of their time at camp.

This winter, we're offering several exciting opportunities:

  • Graphic Arts Merit Badge @ Andersen Scout Camp: November 14
  • Personal Management Merit Badge (Part 1) @ Phillippo Scout Camp: December 12
  • Digital Technology Merit Badge @ Kiwanis Scout Camp: March 13
  • Personal Management Merit Badge (Part 2) @ Phillippo Scout Camp

These events are just a small sample of the many merit badge programs and special activities offered throughout the year, but these are ones offered at our camps. Scouts that are camping at our camps get a discounted rate to attend these badges above.

While we'd love to see you participate in these scheduled programs, we also encourage units to simply come camping. Even when a particular weekend doesn't include a staffed event, there are still many ways to enhance your experience.

Many of our camps can provide access to program equipment, activity kits, tools, canoes, and other resources to help units run their own activities. Depending on the camp, Campmasters may be able to assist with planning.

When reserving your weekend, be sure to connect with the Campmaster team for that property. They are a tremendous resource and can help you discover opportunities, equipment, and activities that will make your camping experience even better.
