Tax-Deductible Giving

Northern Star Scouting is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (EIN: 20-3000282). 100% of your gift stays local to support the character development and leadership training of Scouts in our councils. All donations to Northern Star Scouting support local youth programs and are tax-deductible.

Support the Scouts, give to the program of your choice

A donor advised fund is a way to simplify your giving by making a gift to a fund with Northern Star Council, Boy Scouts of America that can distribute gifts to the charities of your choice during your lifetime and help your children carry on your legacy of giving after you are gone.

Events

The funds raised by this campaign are the largest source of funds for Scouting’s programs.

The Hickey Golf Classic, held mid-summer, is a golf tournament to benefit Special Needs Scouting.

Organizations and individuals sponsor event by purchasing tables and ads to raise money for the urban outreach programs of Northern Star Council

Event honors individuals who provide outstanding volunteer leadership and demonstrate long-term concern for the community, and welfare of children and youth. Proceeds support the Exploring program.  Spurgeon Awards and Exploring Scholarships are also presented.
