FlyOver America

It’s time to fly!

FlyOver America uses the latest in flight ride technology to give you a bird's eye view of America’s most awe-inspiring sights. You will sit in a suspended chair, your feet dangling, in front of a gigantic spherical screen. Special effects including wind, mist and scents, combined with the chair’s motion, will make you feel like you’re truly soaring. It’s time to fly!

Through the Innovation Fund Grant, The Northern Star Council is able to offer this opportunity for other organizations to get to know Scouting.

Who Can Go?

Groups may attend this event at FlyOver America, located at the Mall of America on April 30, 2018. This event is not limited to just Scouts! It's a chance to recruit new members by showing them some of the fun Scout groups have. There is some limited space for packs and troops to use this as a bring a friend event, with a focus on STEM programming for space exploration and aviation.

Sessions start every 15 minutes from 4:00 - 9:30 PM. Registration is required.

CREs and PREs will work to identify 5 potential new unit proposals to attend, and the goal is for each district to have at least one potential new charter partner attend.

New groups who attend will have a great experience FREE of charge, get to meet Scouts and Scout leaders, and learn about other opportunities in Scouting.

CREs and PREs will be able to build on this experience in starting a new unit.
