Local Scout Troop Gets in the Holiday Spirit

Scouts from Troop 589 in Victoria have taken the holiday spirit to heart! The Scouts collected items to prepare gift bags for 55 residents of Auburn Manor in Chaska. At their meeting this week, the Troop of over 81 young men and women filled bags with socks, slippers, word search books, holiday decorations, small gifts, treats and handwritten holiday cards.

The Scouts were prevented from having an in-person Christmas party with the residents again this year due to precautions for COVID and other respiratory illnesses. In true Scout form, the group found a way to bring holiday cheer to the residents another way.

Troop 589 is composed of Scouts, aged 11-17 years old, from the Carver, Chanhassen, Chaska, Minnetonka, Victoria, and Waconia area.
